Appeal after theft of goods from supermarket

A man left a shop without paying for items after his card was declined.

The man was in Asda on Ovangle Road, Lancaster, at 2.15pm on June 4, when he took various items to the self-service tills.

After the card was declined, he left the store without paying for the items.

Police would like to speak with the man captured on CCTV in relation to the theft.

PC Caroline Caine, from Lancaster & Morecambe Police, said: “We would ask the public to study the images released and I would urge the man himself or anybody that recognises him to get in contact with us.”
