Appeal after eggs stolen from hen charity in Hest Bank
Tina Wilkinson, who runs Hedwig’s House chicken Sanctuary at Hest Bank said: “It always upsets me when people steal things, it’s even more upsetting when they steal from charity.
“Hedwig’s House relies mainly on egg sales to pay for food, bedding, and vet bills.

“In the past, people have put a note in saying sorry they forgot money, and posted it through the letterbox later, I don’t mind that, but what makes them think it’s ok to just take them?
“This has happened before, and luckily we have now had a CCTV system donated to us.
“The eggs are only £1.20 a box but eight boxes pay for a whole bag of food for the chickens.
