Another top season at Dukes

DRAMA, comedy, music, film and dance combine to produce a bewitching season at The Dukes next spring/summer.

Week-long runs of top class drama are a feature of the spring season, kicking off with the return of Northern Broadsides and their version of Love’s Labour’s Lost (February 21-25).

This play will be a highlight of Lancaster’s first Season of Shakespeare, which will also see The Dukes screen the latest NT Live production of A Comedy of Errors starring Lenny Henry (March 1), school workshops and an exhibition of Royal Shakespeare Company paintings by acclaimed artist Alan O’Cain.

The Dukes will be celebrating the work of Bolton playwright Bill Naughton from April 3-7, when Alfie comes to town.

This sixties classic, produced by Bolton Octagon, will have among its cast former Coronation Street actress Vicky Binns who played Molly Dobbs.

And for fans of classic crime, The Hound of the Baskervilles will be taking residence at The Dukes from April 17-21.
