Tomorrow night, Friday, sees the launch of a unique compilation album at The Yorkshire House in Lancaster. The album features songs from nine of the brightest up and coming talents that the Lancaster area has to offer, all contributing an acoustic track to the album recorded and released by LMC Studios. The launch event will feature performances from most of the artists featured on the album including Joe McCorriston and Katy Pickles, both of whom had shows at Kendal Calling last month.
Louis Davy, who put the album together said: “This project has been great to work on, all the artists involved have come in with their own ideas, some very original compositions and there are some absolutely incredible young musicians and songwriters on the album showcasing just how much talent there is on the Lancaster scene at the moment.
It’s been a pleasure to work with all the artists from start to finish and I’m sure this won’t be the last we will be hearing from any of them.”
The artists who appear on the album is Ella Ronson and Charlie Galloway, Amelia Porteous, Joe McCorriston, Annie Spedding, Amy-Jo Clough, Lucan Button, Hellen Kelly, Katy Pickles and Jay Nudd.
The gig starts at 7pm and entry is £3, which also includes a copy of the CD and vouchers for free rehearsals in the facilities at LMC Studios.
