LANCASTER dancer Alice Woodhouse bowed out of the BBC talent show So You Think You Can Dance? at the weekend.

Alice, 23, took part in a hip hop dance with fellow contestant Charlie Wheeller on Saturday evening.

But the pair were voted out in the dance-off after their performance failed to win the viewers’ votes and the judges chose to save other dancers.

Former Our Lady’s Catholic College pupil Alice, from Owen Road in Skerton, learned to dance at the Joan Ward School of Dance in Nelson Street, Lancaster, now the Laura Sandham School of Dance.

She has since gone on to perform contemporary dance around the world, including on cruise ships and at Disney World.
