Superstar Alesha Dixon praised the people of Morecambe before her live gig at Morecambe Carnival.
Speaking in the Midland Hotel prior to her performance on Sunday, Alesha was asked what her fellow Britain's Got Talent judge Simon Cowell would think of Morecambe.
"Simon likes the sun, so he wouldn't like it today," said the singer.
"But he would love the people. The people have a great energy up here."
Alesha appeared on The Bay stage on Sunday night and prepared for her set unusually, by feeding the Morecambe seagulls from her hotel window!
"It's great to see so many people come out in force during the rain," she said.
"Music is like therapy. I'm very excited to perform."
Earlier on Sunday, Jake Quickenden, who came second on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in 2014, appeared on The Bay stage.
Jake, who was also a contestant on The X Factor in 2014 at the same time as Lancaster's Paul Akister, said he'd hoped to meet up with Paul afterwards but he had to rush off to a charity gig in Manchester after his set on the carnival stage.
"This is my first time performing in Morecambe, it's a typical seaside town so I was expecting it to be sunny!" said the 27-year-old from Scunthorpe.
"Everyone has been really friendly and seems really nice."
Scouting for Girls were due to headline the carnival on Sunday.
