A memorial service is to be held next week to celebrate the life of the founder of the Gregson Centre in Lancaster.

Memorial service to be held for Gregson founder Richard Dow

Richard Dow died suddenly last month at the age of 58.

He was owner of The Park Hotel in Prospect Street, Lancaster, as well as director of Gregson Centre Limited.

He was also director of Primrose Education Resources Ltd.

A memorial service and celebration of his life is to be held at Christ Church in Lancaster from 1.30pm on Friday June 26.

His family welcomes all friends and colleagues.

This service will be followed at 3pm at the Gregson Centre for food, memories,entertainment and further celebration.

Gregson Centre Ltd was set up by Richard Dow and Graeme Kirk more than 30 years ago.

They were keen to save their favourite community centre and to preserve the future of what they believed to be a vital part of the community.
