The pub in Singleton Road is said to be haunted by a ghost that goes by the name of Murph. Customers and staff have heard him moaning at the bar. The Regent originally opened as a cinema in 1921 with 1,092 seats. It was later transformed into a bingo hall in the 1960s. The building is also said to be haunted, with customers reporting teacups moving on their own and objects being thrown across the room. | Google

When the skull of a local girl was displayed here, several people reported seeing a spectral female figure standing by it. The skull belonged to a local man who claimed he had bought it years before in an Oxfam shop and believed it to belong to a 16th century girl who had been buried on the site of the Foxhall Hotel. He believed the skull had caused several strange events, and felt that his home was haunted by ghostly figures connected to the skull. | Google
