Actor Steve Halliwell’s ‘If The Cap Fits: My Rocky Road to Emmerdale’ is an honest tale of rejection and redemption throughout a fascinating and colourful life.

The candid autobiography of a genuine soap legend – who in October celebrated 20 years since his first appearance in Emmerdale – is a real-life rags to riches story.

Steve’s part in the hit TV show has led him to become one of the UK’s most recognisable and treasured soap stars.

Yet before he found success in the Yorkshire Dales, he spent many years desperately seeking work.

At one point he even spent time on the streets in search of food, sleeping in bushes and virtually living the life of a tramp.
