Why not take a walk on the wildside this Easter?

THE Easter holidays are an ideal time for the whole family to get outdoors and experience the exciting start of spring together.

Nature is blossoming at RSPB Leighton Moss nature reserve in Silverdale and there are lots of family events being run which promise to entertain as well as help to work off all those Easter eggs.

The ‘Walk on the wildside’ family guided walks follow a ‘Talon-tastic’ trail on Tuesday, April 12, where if you have eyes like a hawk you might spot birds of prey, or find out more about all sorts of chicks on the ‘Baby bird’ trail on Tuesday April 19.

Both walks run from 11am to 12.30pm and the cost is £10 for families (£4 for RSPB members).

For anyone who has a competitive streak then the Easter Challenge on Wednesday April 3, and April 20 is a must. Family teams can follow a self-guided trail any time between 10am and 3pm, with prizes for those that succeed.
