A Lancaster theatre director has created a new performance while halfway up a 1,200 ft fell.
Louie Ingham, associate director at The Dukes, has directed ‘Point to Point’ on Walla Crag at Keswick in the Lake District.
Point to Point, a self-guided walk which takes up to five hours, is described as ‘audio theatre meets fell walking’.
Walkers don headphones to listen to a blend of words and music.
This unusual piece of theatre was the brainchild of Louie and sound designer and composer Mark Melville.
Point to Point runs until the end of October 2015.
The audio tracks and walking guide with safety tips can be downloaded from www. pointtopointwalk.co.uk and saved to your device. A printable guide is also available from the site.
You will need to bring headphones and walking boots.
The fell walk takes about four to five hours, depending on your fitness level and promises a challenging but rewarding route.
