Oscar season at The Dukes

A starry line-up of films destined for Oscar glory will be screened at The Dukes during February and March.

Kicking off the Oscar season at the Moor Lane venue’s cinema will be Golden Globe winner Colin Firth and The King’s Speech(12A).

There’s several chances to see this film from tonight, Friday, to Febraury 10, before the Oscar ceremony on February 27, and twice again on March 2 and 3.

Other Oscar nominated films being shown at The Dukes are:

Danny Boyle’s 127 Hours(15) on February 11, 12, 13, 15 and 16;

The Kids Are All Right(15) on February 18 and 21;

Blue Valentine(15) on February 18, 21 and 22;

Gasland(cert tbc) on March 21, 22 and 23;

Black Swan(15) on Feburary 25 - March 1 and March 3;

Rabbit Hole(12A) on March 4,5,7 and 8;

Biutiful(15) on March 5, 6 and 8;

The Fighter(15) on March 11, 12 and 15;

and True Grit(15) on March 11, 13, 14 and 15.
