HE has worked with some of the UKs most successful artists, been referred to as “the Harry Potter of beatboxing” by Radio 1 DJ Tim Westwood, and can speak Hebrew, Aramaic and Arabic.
Now acclaimed British beatboxer Simon “Shlomo” Kahn shows off his breathtaking skills at The Dukes in Lancaster, on February 19, as part of a two month tour of the UK.
From being a toddler playing Arabic drums at his Iraqi-Jewish grandmother’s parties, to beatboxing with the likes of Bjork, Jarvis Cocker and Damon Albarn, Shlomo has cemented his position as one of the most respected human beatboxers on the planet.
He said he was looking forward to performing in Lancaster, and has already secured a couple of local musicians to work with him on the night.
“It’s a big mash up, about a million different styles of music crammed into one hour,” he said.
