Moulettes return to Morecambe

Prog-folk band Moulettes return to play More Music’s Hothouse in Morecambe for the fourth time on September 19.

After winning new fans and attracting bigger audiences for each of their previous gigs the group are more excited than ever to return again.

Moulettes are a five-piece British band of Bjork, Frank Zappa and Gentle Giant loving instrumentalists which weaves different genres together to stunning effect.

They combine harmony vocals and more unusual instrumentation (such as harp, cello and bassoon) with guitars, bass and drums to create a powerful sound that’s all their own.

Renowned for their breathtaking live shows few bands have the creative range and work ethic of the Moulettes.

Containing a mix of self taught and classically trained members who have shared the stage and studio with the likes of Sir Mick Jagger, Nick Cave, Seasick Steve, Bonobo and Dave Gilmour.

They have been hailed as “frontrunners of the new British acoustic scene.”

Their recent album ‘Constellations’ was released last year to rave reviews from the music press.
