Lancaster author releases comeback novel

Beere, from Lancaster, produced an impressive 17 adult and young adult novels before taking a break from writing.

He took what was meant to be a brief sabbatical from his literary career to pursue other interests but suddenly discovered that almost two decades had passed.

Now his yearning for writing has returned with a vengeance.

In collaboration with highly regarded author Garry Kilworth, he has published the novel, ‘Dog People’.

Expect an entertaining but poignant story of grief and loss, and a man’s struggle to come to terms with great tragedy.

Trying to make up for lost time, Beere is also currently working on two more novels – an adult thriller and a young adult horror novel.

He now lives in Somerset with his wife Jacqueline, who is a lawyer and border collie dog Frank.
