Join Justin and Bibi’s romantic night out

A musical couple will perform on Valentine’s Day alongside Lancaster’s very own symphony orchestra.

Justin Doyle will conduct the Haffner Orchestra at Lancaster University on February 14, at a concert when the soprano soloist will be his wife Bibi Heal.

Bibi will sing romantic songs by Carl Nielsen, which have been described as being rather like beautiful folk songs based on the Danish landscape.

The whole concert has Nordic influence, featuring Sibelius’ wonderful fifth symphony and Grieg’s popular ‘Peer Gynt’.

The concert starts at 7pm and there will be a pre-concert talk with Justin and Bibi starting at 6.30pm.

Tickets can be bought from Lancaster or Morecambe Visitor Information Centres, from orchestra or choir members, by phone on 01524 582394 or at the door.

They cost £13.50 for adults, concessions £12.50, 18s and under go free.
