Hobbit walkabout performance is a sellout

The Dukes outdoor walkabout version of The Hobbit has completely sold out '“ a fortnight before its run ends.

Thousands of people have enjoyed this year's Dukes production of The Hobbit in Lancaster's Williamson Park.

Tolkien’s fantastical adventure has been entertaining audiences in Williamson Park since it opened on July 5 and is proving one of the Lancaster theatre’s most successful outdoor productions.

By the time The Hobbit closes on August 13. it will have been seen by 17,200 people.

The Dukes Artistic Director, Joe Sumsion said: “We are delighted at the response.”
