The Dukes to work with Vintage by the Sea Festival
For the first time, The Dukes, in partnership with Vintage by the Sea Festival, will be screening films in Morecambe’s Winter Gardens this September.
The Lancaster cinema will be taking films on the road from September 1-5 as part of the popular seaside festival which celebrates all things vintage.
The special cinematic event kicks off with a touch of class on September 1 and a chance to see Audrey Hepburn in the sparkling romantic comedy, Breakfast At Tiffany’s (PG), which will be screened again on September 4.
Disney’s delightful animated version of Alice in Wonderland (U) will be shown on September 2 and 5 to mark the 150th anniversary of Lewis Carroll’s classic children’s story.
And the Lancashire-based coming of age drama, Northern Soul (15), set in the 1970s, will have the Winter Gardens buzzing on September 3 and 5.
Wayne Hemingway, who runs Vintage by the Sea said: “It is great to welcome The Dukes on board this year. The Dukes is a high quality local cultural institution that serves the community brilliantly, and their wonderful selection of classic films will create an exciting new angle to Vintage by The Sea’s growing programme.”
Tickets for each film are priced £10/£9 concessions, apart from Alice in Wonderland, which is priced £6.50/£5.50 concessions.
