In ‘ Winter Tales’, David and Billy enjoy wonderful and magic adventures.

Readers share the pair’s fantastic jaunts plus many more through the introduction of more characters, who bear the names of real young
 people.

Youngsters who bought and read the first two books, ‘18 Mulberry Road’ and ‘25 Primrose Walk’, were given the opportunity to choose their own animal character which Frank promised to write into the story.

The youngsters also receive an acknowledgement at the end of the story.

Frank started writing children’s books after retiring in 2006 following 40 years working in schools with young people who
had significantly disrupted lives.

But he was already a practised storyteller. During his teaching career, he spent a lot of time entertaining children of all ages often through telling stories and encouraging them to escape into a
world of imagination and wonder.

He now spends as much time as life will allow writing, reading and travelling.

Frank will be signing copies of ‘Winter Tales’ at Waterstones, Corn Market, Lancaster, on Saturday November 1 from 11am to 5pm.
