14 days of dark ales and winter warmers

Together with enthusiastic support from the Lancaster’s publicans, the Lunesale branch of The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) has organised a 14-day festival of dark ales and winter warmers where drinkers can shake off those seasonal blues while enjoying darkly delicious brews.

Pubs will be offering a tantalising selection of milds, porters, stouts and winter beers in an ale extravangaza which celebrates the nation’s historic beer styles.

CAMRA spokesman Julian Holt said: “Pale beers have been all the rage in recent years, some of them quite bland, but historically the darker styles were fantasticaly popular.
