Twenty-two women from the Hest Bank Hotel marched 10 miles along Lancaster canal to earn £350. Part of the cash will buy badly-needed kit for Hest Bank FC, near Lancaster. The rest will be sent to buy a unique device to be used to lengthen legs at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. Five hundred children from all over Lancashire danced for five hours at Morecambe's leisure park. Lancashire education committee chose Morecambe for the second time as its centre for the children's dancing party.
