Lancaster University launches virtual challenge to help cancer charity
Each September, the university runs the event to raise money for CancerCare and other charities, and this year they have tweaked the format to enable people to take part wherever they like.

Hide AdThe event will comprise three legs to be completed in one day either on 5 or 6 September, including a 10-minute activity of choice, 20km bike ride and 5km run, on a route of choice.
Entrants can record their time and take a picture to log their results with the university and the first 50 finishers will receive a special medal.
Newly signed up is Harry Collas, a vet from Lancaster who plans to use his upcoming camping trip on Skye on September 5/6 to swim in a loch for 10 minutes, run 5km in the hills and hire a bike to complete the 20km ride.
