Two further deaths from Covid-19 within Morecambe Bay hospitals

The figures released by NHS England mean there have now been 20 deaths recorded in the last three two weeks.

NHS England recorded two deaths today, Wednesday October 14.

They also recorded a death on October 9, then two on October 12 and a further two on October 13.

A further 13 were also recorded between September 24 and October 6.

This brings the total of deaths after testing positive for coronavirus within the last 28 days at hospitals run by University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust to 191, with the numbers roughly split between the Royal Lancaster Infirmary and Furness General Hospital in Barrow.

More than 400 people have been discharged from UHMBT after making a recovery.
