One more Covid-19 related death recorded at Morecambe Bay hospitals
One person has died this week after testing positive for Covid-19 at hospitals run by University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay Trust.
The death was recorded on Tuesday, August 18, and is the second death recorded in August according to the latest figures from Public Health England.
The total number of Covid-19 related deaths at hospitals across Morecambe Bay - which include the Royal Lancaster Infirmary and Furness General Hospital in Barrow - stands at 171.
The figures do not include deaths within the community or in nursing homes.
As of August 10, 399 people had been discharged home from Morecambe Bay hospitals after being treated for coronavirus.
