No new Covid-19 deaths at Morecambe Bay hospitals for two weeks

There have been no new coronavirus deaths recorded by Morecambe Bay's health trust in the last fortnight.

The last death was recorded on August 18, and was one of only two deaths recorded in August according to the latest figures from Public Health England.

The total number of people who have died after testing positive for Covid-19 stands at 171 at hospitals across Morecambe Bay - which include the Royal Lancaster Infirmary and Furness General Hospital in Barrow.

The figures do not include deaths within the community or in nursing homes.

As of August 20, 404 people had been discharged home from Morecambe Bay hospitals after being treated for coronavirus.
