Lancaster pensioner's rainbow pebble art goes viral - and is retweeted by comedian Johnny Vegas

A photo of a pebble art rainbow made by a pensioner in Lancaster has been shared around the world more than 65,000 times - including by comedian Johnny Vegas!

The photo was shared on social media by the 75-year-old's granddaughter Ashleigh Huggins as well as by her neighbour on Easington, Scale Hall, Karen Brahney.

Karen said on Facebook: "Can everyone share this please? To make a pensioner self-isolating for 12 weeks happy, because she made it to make others happy. She would be made up if it gets shared all over x"

And after the pensioner's granddaughter Ashleigh Huggins posted the photo on Twitter, it was retweeted by comedian Johnny Vegas, who said: "What a lovely post to wake up to. I'm smiling now, thanks Nanna x"

Through her son Jeff Huggins, the 75-year-old said: "I am overwhelmed with the response and all the lovely comments. It has certainly cheered me up, in these very difficult times. Keep smiling. Granny B."
