The Covid-19 vaccination, which is currently being offered to the clinically vulnerable, front line workers and the over 70's, is available from sites across Lancashire and Fylde.

Community primary care network (PCN) sites, pharmacies and hospital hubs across the country are offering the Covid vaccinations to over the over 70s, high-risk NHS staff and all care home staff.

The NHS figures released yesterday revealed that just over 90 per cent of those over 70 in the county have been given the first dose of the vaccine.

The Post previously released a list of the community vaccination centres in Preston, South Ribble and Chorley.

Only people with a pre-booked Covid-19 vaccination appointment should attend their allocated centre and at the time specified for their jab.

But those over 70 who have not yet been given their vaccines are encouraged to contact the NHS and use the booking service at nhs.uk.

Jane Scattergood, Covid-19 Vaccination Director for Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care System, yesterday said: “We are on track to meet our goal of offering everyone in the top four priority groups a jab. But if you are aged 70 and over, and haven’t yet received your vaccine, please come forward and make an appointment as soon as you can.

"The vaccine is safe, simple, and will offer you and those around you crucial protection against this virus."
