3-1-5 X-Force Health Club Young at Heart Programme
One of Lancashire’s favourite health clubs is on a mission to get the over 60s moving more, with a fun-filled calendar of classes and sessions every week.
The Young at Heart 3-1-5- programme is designed for people over 60 looking for a healthy lifestyle with like-minded people.
Sandie Halpin from 3-1-5 Health Club said: “We have a fun, active and sociable timetable which runs Monday to Friday. The aim is to help you prepare for the rest of your healthy life by getting in the best shape, mind and body and spirit to enjoy yourself. It doesn’t matter if you are a complete beginner, we have something for everyone.”
And according to Sandie, fitness in your 60s has major health benefits, including helping to promote stronger bones, reduce the risk of osteoporosis, increasing lung and heart efficiency, boosting flexibility, helping to reduce blood pressure, helping maintain better mental health and, of course, offering friendship and the chance to gather socially.
She added: “On top of that we have a great relaxation area to enjoy our hydrotherapy pool alongside our sauna and steam rooms. Make 3-1-5 your third space, or community living room and come and join us to experience the facility and what our program has to offer. It's never too late to start a healthy lifestyle with us.
