Postmaster Simon Livesey came up with the idea to say a huge thank you to St John's for the care they gave his mum Freda, who passed away in the Slyne Road hospice recently after a short illness.

Simon has 50 large golf umbrellas to give away to anyone wishing to donate to the cause. The umbrellas feature the Post Office logo as well as support for St John's Hospice.

If you fancy one of these unique brollies, which are ideal for social distance queuing out on the Crescent, then pop in and see Simon or the staff at the shop.

They are asking for a minimum donation of £15 (based on the cheapest like for like selling on Amazon).

Bare Post Office is currently opening Monday to Thursday, 9am until 4pm.
