New man at landmark hotels

Michael Kay has been taken on the role for English Lakes Hotels Resorts and Venues to take forward its leisure strategy for the group’s five hotels.

He first joined the company in 1993 and has held a number of key roles include general manager of the Waterhead Hotel in South Lakes.

English Lakes Hotels Resorts and Venues managing director Simon Berry said: “We are really pleased to see Michael returning to the group and look forward to him playing a key role in developing our leisure offering.

“Michael is now a seasoned operator accustomed to making strong contributions at all levels of an organisation like ours. The experience he has gained over the last 12 years in the continued growth and development of prominent UK self-catering brands will be highly valued.”
