They said: "Can I thank the locals and my regulars who notified me of the broken window, this happened while we were open on Saturday afternoon at exactly 14.41, and amazingly no passers by were seriously hurt by the bricks bouncing back off the glass."

Andrew Phimister, 51, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with criminal damage following the incident, and appeared at Preston Magistrates' Court on Monday June 22.

He was ordered to pay £500 compensation to the micropub owners as well as £85 in court costs.

He was also fined £40 for committing an offence while on a suspended sentence.
