Lancaster vets take part in bake-off challenge for Macmillan Cancer Support

2020 has brought about many changes to our ways or life and ways of working, not least for Lancaster, Kendal and Sedbergh farm animal veterinary surgeons, Farm Gate Vets.

Most recently the company's director vets Jim McKinstry and Mark Stott were challenged to swap their waterproofs for an apron in a “Bake Off” style competition to raised money for the charity Macmillan Cancer Support.

“We normally host coffee mornings at our practices, which are really well supported,” said Jim. “This year because of the Covid restrictions these cannot go ahead so we wanted to do something different to still raise money for this great charity.”

The resulting video is now live on social media - and had 927 views in the first 12 hours - along with photos of the vets' final cakes, a Mary Berry Victoria sponge.
