Lancaster firm named among top five independent jewellers in the UK

Banks Lyon have been named as one of five Highly Commended independent jewellers in the Retail Jeweller’s Inspiring Independents 2020.

The list, which is compiled by industry professionals and clientele’s reviews, highlights the top 100 independent jewellers in the nation.

Those that achieved a Highly Commended rating demonstrated brilliance and sound business practice during the recent lockdown.

The Retail Jeweller commented that Banks Lyon secured a Highly Commended rating thanks to consistently going the extra mile for customers throughout lockdown, alongside their social media campaign ‘Ask at Home’ - which demonstrated several ways that one could propose marriage during lockdown.

Owner of Banks Lyon Jewellers, Rodney Banks Lyon, was delighted with the recognition for the business and staff.

“Banks Lyon Jewellers have worked tirelessly since March to guarantee the safety of our staff and customers, and it’s fantastic that this hard work has been recognised in the latest release of the Retail Jewellers Inspiring Independents," he said.

Banks Lyon have shown a continued commitment to their customers by organising local deliveries to shielding customers, carrying out video consultations, whilst also providing access to their personal shoppers via email, phone and even WhatsApp.

Throughout lockdown, Banks Lyon operated with carefully organised and socially distanced skeleton staff to help those who felt uncomfortable ordering online.
