A local marketing company aims to help publicise restaurants, venues, housing providers and much more with a high-profile advertising screen in St Nicolas Arcades.

The prominently placed screen offers advertisers the chance to be seen by more than 75,000 shoppers every week when it reopens fully later this spring.

Jake Clark, managing director of EiMarketing, says the shopping centre – which welcomes four million people a year on average – is the perfect spot to showcase local businesses.

“Advertising opportunities are very slim on the high street in Lancaster so we saw an opportunity to introduce more sophisticated advertising options in the city centre with our digital screen,” he explains.

Jake, who is one of the managing directors for EiSecurity, established EiMarketing in 2017 with the aim to offer ‘bigger city advertising opportunities’ for firms wanting to raise their profile. Mark Caudle was later introduced.

And Jake says the timing is ideal for organisations keen to boost interest after the latest national lockdown.

“I believe that this is a phenomenal opportunity for people to advertise in the city centre,” he says. “There are so many professional services that would benefit from this right now.”

Jake and Mark are both well connected in Lancaster, with Jake having worked for more than 13 years in the city centre and a familiar face to many and Mark a prominent figure in the entertainment industry.

“We are hoping to update Lancaster and its advertising options, as it's stuck in time somewhat and would really benefit from more modern opportunities for all the flourishing businesses we have here,” Jake adds.

“We really think the time is right as we come out of lockdown for a new way for businesses to shout about what they’re offering.”
