The new store will be opening on Thursday July 30 at 8am, and will be run by store manager Charlotte Maxwell, along with a team of 29 colleagues from the local community.

As part of Aldi’s investment in local communities across the UK, the Aldcliffe Road store will bring new job opportunities to the area and offer more customers access to Aldi’s high quality, low-price products.

“It’ll be lovely to welcome local customers into the new store and provide them with Aldi’s everyday amazing products. The team and I are looking forward to meeting our new customers in store from Thursday 30th July.”

The new Aldi store is calling on local charities and food banks in Lancaster to register with Neighbourly, a community engagement platform that links businesses to charitable organisations in the local community.

Local charities that register will be able to collect surplus food and perishable products, such as fruit, vegetables and baked goods, up to five days a week. Any charities in the area that would like to partner up with the new Aldi store should email [email protected].

The new store will be located at 48 Aldcliffe Road, Lancaster, LA1 1UJ, and will be open Monday to Saturday, 8am-10pm, and on Sundays from 10am to 4pm.
