We are taken into the eye of a storm – an emotional and mental maelstrom that takes no prisoners. And the vitriol is at times unrelenting.

The central character is Jimmy Porter (played excellently by Patrick Knowles) and whether you look on him as deep or deranged will depend on where your sympathies lie. He certainly has issues – issues which marked this play out as a classic. But whether his mental fragility serves the cause of those issues.
