Free event in Morecambe offers advice to residents struggling with fuel bills

A free event in Morecambe will offer advice to people struggling to pay their fuel bills this winter.

Cosy Homes in Lancashire - your local council affordable warmth initiative - recognises that fuel poverty is a significant issue across the county with 14% of the population living in fuel poverty, and some areas having higher rates than the national average.

Fuel Poverty is a stark reality that means more than 10% of a household’s income is going towards the cost of heating the home alone.

To support Fuel Poverty Awareness Day 2025, Cosy Homes in Lancashire are hosting free Warm Matters events across the county offering expert wellness advice, money guidance and support to everyone struggling this winter.
