Lancaster Lockdown cinema club a success for organisers

The very first Lancaster Lockdown cinema club drive-in movie event has proved a success with some shows almost sold out.

The drive-in movie event is running for just three weeks but has been a positive experience for people who have attended.

Hannah Horner of Lancaster Lockdown Cinema Club said: "We are delighted to be able to bring this Covid-19 safe event to Caton with just a three week run in these uncertain times.

"It has been well received with some shows almost sold out. After months of being locked down to see the positive reaction on peoples faces as they have a family outing or date night is really nice and we are so pleased with the reviews we have been receiving."

Lancaster Lockdown Cinema Club has announced a new total price of £25 per car for those attending the Lancaster Lockdown Cinema Club drive-in movie event.

Lancaster Lockdown Cinema Club said on their Facebook page: "We are delighted to announce that following the confirmation from the Association of Festival Organisers that our Drive in Cinema is able to benefit from the reduced 5% rate in vat and after renegotiation with our booking system we are now able to offer a new total price of £25 per car!

"Our other offers of Admit1 for £17.50 & Parent & 1 child for £20 are now available too.

"For anyone who has already booked a ticket thank you so much for your support. We will be in touch with you shortly with a great offer or a refund for the difference.

The films are being shown at Elm Grove Field, Crook O'Lune, Lancaster Road, Caton, LA2 9HX. Two miles from Junction 34 M6. Follow A683 signposted Caton/Kirby Lonsdale.
