Colourful and quirky paintings by artist Cathy Daniels are currently on display at Garstang arts centre.

Cathy is a self-taught artist, who lives in Wrea Green.

She became interested in art while off work several years ago during a period of ill health.

She said: “The way in which my work is created may seem unusual as I paint over a board with watered-down paint and wait to see what appears in the wash.

“As the paint water soaks into the board I see shapes, mainly people but at other times I see quirky animals.”

The exhibition continues until May 3.
