MODERN travelling troubadour Rory McLeod intends to take his audience on a musical journey at The Dukes on May 25.
Described as an awe-inspiring live performer, Rory will be playing from his 2010 album Swings and Roundabouts, plus music from his back catalogue.
As well as being a music maestro, Rory is also a seasoned storyteller, relating tales from his extensive travels, covering Asia to the Middle East; Gambia to Cuba; and Australia to Europe.
He takes a touch of tap and trombone, adds in some acapella, a hint of harmonica and a good dose of guitar, plus plenty of other percussion to create an original and uplifting sound.
Tickets for the gig are £10/8 concessions, from the Dukes box office.
As we enter May (just where does the year go), Lancaster has some great live performers coming up on its musical calendar, including another skilled troubadour, Frank Turner, at the library next Friday (May 14).
See the Lancaster Guardian (05-05-11) for full story.
