A full weekend of entertainment with a dark circus feel will take place throughout at The Platform, Hothouse and the Headway Hotel.

Kicking off the lineup will be the ‘Krak’n’ Night Out’ on Friday with an eclectic offering from Alice’s Night Circus, Metropolis and Mr B. The Gentleman Rhymer taking the stage at The Hothouse, tickets are priced at £12.50.

Then over the weekend The Platform will host the itinerant Steampunk artisan market with The DeatBeats, Ravens Morris, The Carnival of Curiosity and Ash Mandrake.

With fire eaters, sword swallowers and a Victorian mentalist, organisers say this an event not to be missed. Entry into The Platform is £3 on the door.

There is then a chance to dance the night away at Captain Nemo’s Masked Ball at the Headway hotel with Victor and the Bully and the Canadian band ‘The New Jacobin Club.’ Strict dress code and ticket only. Saturday Masked Ball tickets are priced at £27.50 and a full weekend ticket is priced at £40.

Specially arranged tours around The Winter Gardens will also be offered. More details at http://asplendiddayout.com/.
