For as long as he can remember, Ben Bowman has been obsessed with Michael Jackson.

“Everything about the King of Pop mesmerised and enchanted me,” he says.

“I used to spend hours pouring over album covers, photographs, interviews, videos and anything I could find that was about Michael.

“Even my seventh birthday party was Michael Jackson themed.

“I always loved to dance and began copying Michael’s signature moves as I dreamed of being a performer just like him”.

Ben’s dream eventually came true and today he is one of the best Michael Jackson tribute acts around.

Faithfully recreating the sequined glove, the incomparable pop hooks, four decades of hit songs and iconic dance moves including the moonwalk, Ben’s ‘Jackson Live In Concert’ is now set to astound an audience at Lancaster’s Grand Theatre.

Ben’s portrayal is described as “the most vocally and visually accurate tribute to the King of Pop to have ever toured UK theatres”.

His favourite Jackson album is Bad, which he says is “the greatest album ever”. As for Michael’s astonishing array of songs, Bowman loves to perform Billie Jean because of the choreography and the costume.

“But my personal favourite would have to be Man In The Mirror because it became the pinnacle of everything he was about.”

Ben will be joined by his live band for renditions of Thriller, Beat It and many more.

The show is on Friday, June 14 at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £17 (£15 concessions) available from the Grand box office or call 01524 64695.
