JEKYLL and Hyde The Musical comes to the Lancaster Grand Theatre next week – with proceeds from the show being donated to help care for cancer patients.
The production is being put on by local theatre company About Theatre, which says it is shaping up to be its biggest yet.
It is based upon Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic 1886 novella The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, in which London lawyer Gabriel John Utterson who investigates strange occurrences between his old friend, Dr Henry Jekyll and the misanthropic Edward Hyde.
The work is associated with the rare mental condition often called “split personality”, where somebody displays at least two distinct personalities.
