City welcomes back blues legend Burns

A blues legend will return to perform at The Gregson Centre in Lancaster for the first time in 10 years this weekend.

Adrian Byron Burns will perform on Friday May 13 at 8pm, a decade since his last performance at the venue.

When living in his native USA in the late 1960s, Burns opened shows for Neil Young and Richie Havens, ultimately leading to a European tour.

In 1974 he moved to the UK and joined renowned soul group Jimmy James and the Vagabonds.

In the following 40 years, Burns has performed with an array of big names in the music industry including Jim Mullen, Sally Barker, Tommy Chase and Mick Pini.

Tickets for the show, which will also feature Jean Luc Boria on bass, are priced at £10/£8 and are available from the bar at the Gregson or call 01524 849959.
