A young apprentice chef has tasted success after winning a ‘Masterchef’ inspired competition.
Connor Bradford, 22, from Lancaster, is celebrating after winning the top prize at the Lancaster and Morecambe College contest.
Connor, who is urrently working at the Ship Inn at Roose, Barrow-in-Furness, prepared a main course dish of Lamb Chump served with creamed cabbage, spinach, glazed carrots and potato dauphine with a red wine jus, and a dessert of white chocolate and honeycomb parfait.
His prize was a ‘Chef’s Complete Bundle’ which included a chef’s uniform, catering books and equipment. He competed against 10 other students who were judged on judged on hygienic practices, time management, flair, presentation and knife skills.
