Lancaster Bulldogs wheelchair basketball team remained undefeated this season with 69-34 win against Vikings from St Helens in their Third Division North-West League clash.

Alex Johnson top scored with 24 points with Lewis McGregor not far behind on 22 as John Fergus also racked up 17 in the convincing win at Salt Ayre Sports Centre.

The hosts were missing three regulars but coach Julian Atkinson saw his team come through with ease.

The Bulldogs raced into an early lead with McGregor and Johnson continuing to rack up the points as they established a 16-8 first quarter lead.

Fergus added eight points to the total with some consistent shooting in the second quarter with McGregor picking up the rebounds to add to his tally.

The third quarter was a much tougher and tighter affair to begin with but then the Bulldogs broke loose with Johnson and McGregor looking as if they’d never miss.

Vikings’ Callum Doherty tried to raise a fightback with 10 points of his own.

But comfortably ahead, the Bulldogs, captained by Andrew Hartley, continued to follow the team plan and ran out easy victors.
