Tennis: Youngsters stay top of table with easy win

The Lancaster Under 14 tennis squad stayed top of the Fylde League after a comfortable 6-0 win over Wrea Green at Lune Road on Saturday.

With seven matches completed the boys have now reached an impressive 30 wins this season.

Captain Dan Main continued his winning streak with a straight sets singles win and paired up with new doubles partner Elliot Gardner for their first win of the season. Elliot also had a solid win in singles.

Nathaniel Wilkinson 
returned to the team after a six-week lay off with a comfortable win in his singles match as did Adam Hill who made his debut last week.

They also paired up to complete the whitewash with a straight sets win in doubles.

Lancaster have five matches to play in this, their debut season in the Fylde League. Next Sunday sees them travel to St Annes to face a tough side who have dominated this competition in the last few years.
