Personal bests for Lancaster and Morecambe youngsters

Lancaster and Morecambe Athletics Club’s Combined Events athletes put their pre-season training to the test at Manchester Indoor​ Open Meeting on Sunday.

Candice Craven recorded a new personal best and club record in the 3k shot put, 7.53m, and also recorded a new PB in the 60m, 8.98s, and jumped 3.90m in the long jump.

Erin Moffatt recorded a new PB in 60m sprint, 9.15s, and jumped 4.42m in the long jump securing second place overall in the under 15 girls.

Freya Burgess recorded a PB in the long jump, 3.42m, a PB in 60m sprint, 9.47s, and a PB in the 3k shot put, 5.70m, securing sixth place overall in the under 15 girls.

The results represented a successful day of competition for this new group who continue to work hard towards the track and field season and Combined Event Championships.
