Table tennis duo aiming high after regional centre selection

Adam Ordonez, who was runner up in the under 16s, and Matthew Westworth, second in the under 14s in the Lancashire County Schools championships, are preparing to go one better in the forthcoming season.

They are attending regular training sessions with the Lancaster and Morecambe junior squad and have been selected to attend the regional centre at Garstang to practice with the top players in the North West region.

Both players have been involved in the local senior league and took part in the England ranking events held at Blackpool.

Junior training is continuing at Morecambe Community High School for the remaining weeks of this term in the studio, while exams take place in the sports hall.
