Snooker legend Taylor to visit Squires

THE man who won the most famous World Snooker Championship final in history is coming to Lancaster, Dennis Taylor, who defeated Steve Davis on the final black of the final frame to become World Champion in 1985, will play at Squires Pool, Snooker and Sports Bar this Monday night (February 13).

Dennis will answer questions, play frames against local players and perform trick shots.

The charismatic BBC snooker commentator will be at the King Street centre from 6pm to 9pm. He is appearing on behalf of the Paul Hunter Foundation. Admission is free.

In recent years fellow snooker stars Steve Davis and Shaun Murphy have visited Squires for the Foundation, set up in memory of top snooker player Paul Hunter who died of cancer, aged 27, in 2006.
